Visit by the President of the European Council and Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany

The President of the European Council and Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany, Dr. Angela Merkel, is to visit the European Central Bank (ECB) today, Monday 22 January 2007, at 4 p.m. C.E.T.
She will be meeting Mr Jean-Claude Trichet, President of the ECB, and the Executive Board members for an exchange of views on the programme of the German EU Presidency and issues of mutual interest.
