European Forum for Innovation in Payments (EFIP)
The European Forum for Innovation in Payments (EFIP) is an informal joint initiative of the ECB and the European Commission.
The main objective of the Forum is to contribute to increased economic efficiency and a deeper Single Market by fostering the development of an integrated, innovative and competitive market for retail payments in the EU.
The Forum provides a platform for the exchange of information and views on issues of common concern to all stakeholders. It allows for discussion of European priorities and policies as well as coordination with developments at the national level.
The EFIP is composed of the members of the Euro Retail Payments Board (ERPB) and the chairs of EU national payment committees.
